"I first saw Donna as a practitioner with our 4-year old daughter. Seeing Donna was my last hope to improve our daughter's behavioural issues before going down the path of conventional medicine which surely would have resulted in the prescription of retalin or something similar.

Donna's case taking was very thorough, she was very patient and attentive. I never felt rushed along or like “just another client” . The difference the chosen remedy made on our daughter's behaviour was incredible! After this success I decided to see Donna for my own health issues. The remedies and Donna's support have made a huge difference.

"I first met Donna Flavell through a homeopathic course she was running on childhood diseases and immunity.
Following the course I took both my children to see her for a homeopathic consultation to address a few small health issues. Donna has a very calming and friendly manner about her. My children and I instantly felt at ease in her practice.
Donna was very thorough in assessing my children to determine their homeopathic needs. She was always organised when we visited, having our notes ready, and being completely present, it made the appointments seamless. Donna was happy to receive emails between appointments to answer any questions I had.

"I met Donna in the middle of last year when I enrolled in her Introduction to Homeopathy course that was being run here in Mangawhai. I found the course to be very informative and well put together. Donna has an excellent approach to her students, she is knowledgeable, practical, approachable and was always willing to reword or give another example if someone was still unsure of something. The course was a good length of time and many aspects of homeopathy were covered. Since participating in the course homeopathy is now a part of our family’s go to.

In addition, when the course had finished I approached Donna about seeking my constitutional remedy. I have suffered from chronic eczema on my hands for approximately 8 years and it was becoming a large issue in my life. I really enjoyed the consultation with Donna. She was very open, asked all the right questions to enable me to look closer at feelings I didn’t realise were having a significant impact on my life. "I have been seeing Donna Flavell as my Homeopath for almost a year now. Her case taking skills were very thorough and gentle. She covered every aspect of health to help analyse which constitutional remedy was for me. She had the right one first go and took time to explain to me more about my remedy. She also explained to me what to expect when taking the remedy i.e. Increase in symptoms before seeing decrease. In my case, the illnesses/symptoms I had been suffering my whole life had hugely decreased and became something I could manage and would not affect my every day to day life, as it had been. The follow up consultations further ensured we were on the right track to healing. The treatment was so effective; I have subsequently referred a number of other patients to her.

She taught us how to accurately case take and discover what remedy was needed. She provided information on alternatives to medical vaccinations, which have been so incredibly insightful. There is not much support out there for parents who choose not to vaccinate. This course has further developed my confidence, so that when my child naturally comes into contact with childhood illnesses, that I will be able to treat her and help her through the normal stages through it. This and the first aid knowledge she taught us, is the type of knowledge that will last a life time and further ensure Homeopathy remains a valid choice for treatment of illness."

"I first had the pleasure of meeting Donna Flavell whilst attending an Introduction to Homeopathy 8 week course she was teaching last year in 2011.

Before attending this course I had been aware of Homeopathy for a number of years however had always felt overwhelmed by the number of remedies listed in books for the ailments I had ever wished to use it for. During this course Donna made the basics of homeopathy much more understandable and user friendly by teaching it in a fun, factual and interactive way. I left the course feeling so much more confident to use homeopathic remedies for everyday ailments for me and my family.

In June 2011 I went to see Donna as a client which at first was for a specific illness/ailment which she treated me for in a very caring and understanding manner. "I contacted Donna Flavell Dip. Hom (NZ). I.C.Hom (NZ). AI. NC. Hort, late last year, regarding my daughter Anna. Anna was 14 months old at the time & was showing signs of distress more & more frequently, to the point where she was constantly banging her head against various objects & me when she was at the height of her distress.

Donna had been recommended by a friend who had taken her son for treatment earlier in the year .On the initial visit Donna came across as very competent; her manner made it very easy for both myself & Anna to relax completely in her presence, which I felt was a good start to the consultation. Donna explained to me how homeopathy worked; as this was my first time using this type of treatment. I found this helpful in my understanding of her methods. I never felt hurried in any way, which was reassuring to say the least. Donna asked me quite a variety of questions in order to establish a picture of Anna, often explaining why she was asking a particular question, which again I found very reassuring.

She then went on to recommend a remedy based on what I had told her about Anna, & she administered the remedy. I made a follow up appointment & drove home. That evening both my husband & myself noticed a dramatic change in Anna’ disposition, she was calm & relaxed & very happy in herself. We were so amazed by the huge change that I rang Donna to tell her that we were both delighted & relieved that she had made such a radical turnaround in such a short time. Neither of us could really believe that our little girl could be so much happier so quickly. On our next visit to Donna, she asked how everything was progressing, & I told her that we had noticed the old pattern creeping back in, Donna then explained how the remedy was working & how it would continue to work, she used some very clear analogies, which helped me to understand how the homeopathic remedy was working with Anna.

I left that consultation feeling very confident that the remedy that Donna had administered was going to have a permanent effect on Anna, & that has been the case. Donna seemed to have the ability to empathise with my situation immediately, & this helped greatly with my understanding & acceptance of what she does as a practitioner.
